The National Sikh Heritage Centre and Holocaust Museum are proud to announce their first Patron. On Saturday 3rd July, Frank McArdle was at the museum to accept the position. He was welcomed by senior museum staff and attended his first meeting there.
Frank Macardle is well know in the area due to his capacity as the Chief Executive of South Derbyshire Council as well as his high profile role as a director of the Football Association.
Gurpal Singh, Head of Operations at the museum commented: “Frank has been an enthusiastic supporter of the museum from the beginning. He has proven abilities and is a well respected figure.
He will prove to be a great patron to the museum and will help take us to a new level. The museum is ever expanding and getting the recognition it deserves. Only recently, Ed Milliband MP visited as well as Jathedar Gurbachan Singh of the Akal Takht from Punjab in India, the Sikh equivalent of the Pope was here.”
